How to learn from poker on TV

  • Pause before the action. When a player faces a bet, stop the video and decide what you'd do, then compare.
  • Watch the positions. Notice how much wider players open from the button than from early seats. Our positions guide explains why.
  • Remember the edit. TV shows the most exciting hands. Real games have far more folds, so don't copy every wild bluff you see.
